The Mall of Americuh

Day 9: As Chicago's first McDonald's was right across the street from our hotel, we had breakfast there before packing the car and getting on the road. We drove through three states in seven hours. There was lots of traffic out of Illinois and Jeff got quite frustrated with the stupid Wisconsin drivers (it's called the passing lane for a reason!!!). We stopped once in Tomah for a quick bite chez Perkins. Since neither of us was that hungry, we shared a salad. Even half of it was too big!

We arrived in Bloomington, MN at around 6:30pm.

Toll count: $4.20.

We headed straight for the Mall of America and were utterly stunned by the collosal size of this place.

We checked out the showtimes at the huge theatre and crossed the highway to get checked in at the Motel 6. We headed back to the mall to watch "The Hangover". Unfortunately, this show did not make either of us really laugh until the pictures during the credits! That was a bit disappointing since we had heard such good things about it. "I Love You, Man" is still leading the race!

We headed back to the hotel after the show and hit the sack. Bonne nuit!
