ZUMBA for the Cure!

Robyn and I had so much fun at a Breast Cancer Fundraiser this morning... ZUMBA!!!!

The instructor is a 55 year-old gal, a 25-year breast cancer survivor and did the class wearing a sports bra! She said Zumba has changed her life! How inspiring! We're totally going to look for a gym that has a regular Zumba class!

Here we are with "Hope"!

P.S. Nance, are you going to the Zumba class at Florida Fitness? I thought of you a lot this morning!!!!

I GOT A JOB!!!!

With four days left before school starts, I received a call from HR, offering me a contract! It's not ideal, but it's full-time work with full-time pay and full-time benefits!

I will be teaching an English Grade 7 class at Peter Greer Elementary, in Lake Country (about 20 minutes north of Kelowna), covering a mat leave until the end of December. Two Grade 7 teachers have offered to mentor me (thank goodness!), so I am looking forward to having some sort of guidance for this new level, subject areas and language!

Jeff, Mom and I spent all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday getting things ready. Here are a couple of snap shots of my new classroom: Thanks to everyone who had their fingers crossed for me! I will let you know in January when you can cross them again!
