Visit from Ottawa!

Our dear friend, Veronica, braved the friendly skies to witness the cuteness called Simone for herself.

 

At the airport, Sim welcomes VC with open arms and a nice sign to boot.

First timers to the city need to see the sites. The PPs pose in front of "The Sails" downtown.

Here the gals point at the monkey with the camera at the Kasugai gardens. Kasugai is Kelowna's sister sity in Japan. FYI.

Happy 69th Birthday, Grandpa!

In honour of the last year before he enters a new decade, we celebrated Grandpa out at the cabin!

Lovely weather at a lovely spot, with lovely company and lovely food... what a great birthday!

What better way to top it than with a boat ride!

Visit from Japan!

 

After spending three weeks in Japan, Warren (aka Midori) and Chris' flight home touched down in Vancouver, which, OF COURSE, meant a road trip to Kelowna!!!

 

First stop: IHOP!!!! (A first for Simone!)

 

Second stop: Wineries! (And, yes, this was also a first for Simone!)

Chris, the professional photographer, set up his fancy camera to get some good shots with the good scenery. Here we are at Boucherie Winery...

We were so grateful to get to spend some time with our dear Ontarian friends! Simone was so happy to finally meet them! Looking forward to the next visit!!!

Another First!

Grandpa and Kathy invited us out for an afternoon at the cabin in McKinley Landing.
It turned out to be my first time in Okanagan Lake!

It was such hard work, Daddy and I had to have a nap!

I also got to visit with Grace again! She sure has pretty hair... I just wanted to keep grabbing it!
