Visit With Grampa Dan and Nonna Jane

Simone was slightly excited about Grampa Dan and Nonna Jane arriving! She was rocking out hard!

Bedtime stories!

We're ready for our close-up!

The four Dumas boys!!! Looking for one more to complete the hockey team!

Nonna Jane takes a turn pushing Simone on the swings.

Simone shows off her watering can at her swimming lesson. She has gained her confidence back in the water; she puts her arms and legs out like a starfish, floats on her tummy with a noodle all by herself, blows bubbles and jumps in from the side with less and less encouragement! We are so looking forward to the summer in Mimi's pool!

Enjoying some "Spumoni" at the Old Spaghetti Factory!

Simone is so sad that Grampa Dan and Nonna Jane had to leave! :(

Thanks again for making the drive to visit us! Looking forward to another visit this summer!

Potty Girl!!!

Here is Simone collecting her "treat" for going pee on the potty! (One Smartie!)

So proud!

Yay! Let's flush it!

(Number) Two Thumbs Up!!!

She is doing so well! Especially since there hasn't been any "dedicated" training... it's all been pretty casual and having the potty nearby for when she decides she is ready! We try to make a big deal out of it each time (have a treat, document it, call Mimi, high fives, hugs and kisses...), so hopefully she will stick with it!

We are so proud of you, Monie! (And we are already dreaming about how we will spend the millions of dollars we will save on buying diapers for you!!!)

P.S. Thanks again to Colleen and Brian for passing us this fun musical throne! That's right, people, it plays a tune when the sensor is hit! :)

Hoppy Easter!

Peek-a-boo bunny!

"Hey, that's my jammies!"

Thank you again to Karen for our adorable matching sleepers!!!

"On the hunt for chicks"

Being crafty with Daddy!

The second annual Bryce/Dumas Easter Egg Hunt took place on Easter Sunday! This year, the Easter Bunny left some footprints behind! Simone discovered them right after she woke up (early) from her nap!

She went straight for the gummies!!! (Or "gumminies", as she calls them!)

Easter Bunny "V" had some sneaky hiding places this year!

The traditional holiday book from Mommy and Daddy!

Ollie's first!

Left to right, youngest to oldest!

Avery is eyeing up those gumminies, while Ollie is eyeing up the rest of the basket! We got a glimpse into our future of what "sharing" will look like when Ollie is able to take stuff... "No, Ollie, that's MINE!" Great. Please let us have a few more months of these pleasant exchanges! Please!!!

Bob meets the "little" slugger for the first time.

Outside for bubbles! I didn't want to brag about our glorious weather, but Robyn, in Ponoka, Alberta, was hiding her eggs in snowbanks!!!

Even the big kids were into it! (Hi Hontz!)

Could she be any cooler???

Future babysitter??? :)

Simone attempts Daddy's famous (and copyrighted!) "double underduck"! (Usually reserved for Simone and Sebastian!)

Over to Great Avi's for a visit (since we couldn't convince him to come to Mimi's for dinner).
Simone takes a moment on the deck to honor her Grandma Flo! (I've never made the connection until now, but she is eating what we call a "puff"!!!)
Thank you again to cousin Catie for the gorgeous dress and to dear friend Bailey for the awesome party cardy!

Close up in Great Avi's hat.

Over to Mimi's for dinner and presents... yay stickers!!!

And her very own wind-up "Chickaletta"! (Anyone watch "Paw Patrol"???)

The Easter Bunny knows Mimi well: a CHOCOLATE HIGH HEEL!!

SWAK!

Thank you for a bunnyriffic long weekend!

More Visits With Friends

Dear Auntie Mick invited us back for a visit and a play with the boys, Ry and Gareth!

Simone got right back to feeling cozy with her books!

A rose between two thorns! ;)

Our second family picture! :) Thank you again, Auntie Mick, for spoiling us with a mixed-up bowl for Monie (sneaky marshmallows!) and delicious banana bread for the adults (well, if Jeff counts as an "adult" when it comes to your sensational treats!).

Denise stopped by to meet our little guy! Of course, we put her right to work on bottle duty!

We didn't make her work as hard when she came to meet Simone:

Denise got right down on her knees to play the "pompoms through the paper towel roll game" with our girl!

On her first try, Denise got one in the cup! Her fine motor skills are up to par!
Thanks again for the generous gifts, Mrs. Retiree!

Shelley and Gracey also popped in to meet the new man! Thank you again for all of the generous gifts you brought for both of our pumpkins!!!

Let's take a look back at a similar picture of these guys with Simone when she was just over one month old! (Simone now wears the shirt Gracey had on in this shot!)

Gracey was super interested in the baby, but she and Simone sure had fun playing together! I see another play date in our future!

Ollie did not cooperate as much as Simone did when Gracey held her...

...two years ago!

She still managed to enjoy the little dude!

Thank you for all of the love, friends! Please come by anytime!!!
