Happy Father's Day x2!

Bacon, eggs and a side of Player Piano... what a great way to start the day!

Grandpa takes the first pumping shift!

Auntie and Simone do their best jumping and twirling to "Teddy Bear Picnic"!

Outside for bubbles... with an obvious shoe choice!!!

My eye!

Hopscotch!

Swinging with the apple of his eye!

No hands!

Upside down kiss!

Time for presents! The Little Critter "Happy Father's Day" book...

... the new Coldplay CD...

... and a Father's Day Journal!

The most genuine laugh you have ever seen on this guy!

Here is a sample of the pictures that were making Jeff laugh so hard:

And this accompanying poem:
These shoes are too big for me,
As you can see,
But even when I’m big and grown,
They’ll be big on me.
The reason is quite simple,
I’m sure you will agree,
No one will ever fill
the shoes of my Daddy!

We love you, Daddy!

Bring on the baby snuggles!

Ice cream for dessert!!!

Deeeeeelish!

5th-Month Firsts!

So much new stuff going on this month! Ollie has been busy exploring and trying out the numerous pieces of baby equipment!

1. We have a rolling man!

Simone is so good at encouraging her little brother to roll over!

Here are the action shots... in slow motion: Wrestling the owl...

... half-way there...

...mission complete!

Here is it at real speed!

And the proud big sis!!!

2. The J'Ollie Jumper!

Wahoo!!! Up on your tippy toes!

Gently!!!

3. Ollie LOVES sitting up tall and being able to look around at everything that is going on - especially watching his busy big sis at eye level - so we got him set up in the exersaucer!

4. Out at the park one day, Simone asked if I could put Ollie in the swing. I really hadn't thought of it because it was much later that we put Simone in for the first time. But, since the boy seems to be doing everything in fast forward, we tried it and... HE LOVED IT!

Simone had so much fun pushing him! Daddy watches her very closely to make sure she doesn't get too out of control!

Double "hunduck"!!!

Now Simone asks to get out of the swing so that Ollie can have a turn! The EPITOME of sharing!!!

5. Not only has Oliver been practicing holding his bottle by himself...

6. ... but he also tried the spoon this month!

We have been putting "pablem" (rice cereal) in his bottle for about a month now, but we thought we would get him started on the next big milestone! Shirley sitting in the high chair will be right around the corner!

We are still working on the spillage!

Lucky boy got to meet our favorite Madame Ready this month!

And we got a visit from lovely Tracy!

Mr. Dumas also attended his first business meeting! It was over lunch, so he was dressed for success! (Thanks again to the Bryce Family for this excellent accessory!!!!)

Trying on sister's shades: a first and last!

Thank you to GAGA and Uncle Ronnie for this adorable plaid one piece! Ollie is so dapper!

Our twinkly eye smiler is infectious!

We can't wait to see what "firsts" the boy will experience next month!

Our Ballerina Is 29 Months Old!

Purple... Hello Kitty... tutu... is there anything better in the world???
Thank you so much to Cousin Catie for passing it to us!!!

Here is our beautiful ballerina as she watches "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" by The Wiggles.
Car, does this work as her audition tape to get into your studio early???

Our little "Mama" is burping her monkey. (Well, it's actually Auntie Shilo's 1970s disco monkey!)

Simone is still loving Happy Meals and milk with straws!
(Thank you GAGA and Uncle Ronnie! We found one that matched her outfit... also from you!!!)

I spy with my little eye... a turtle on the log!

Isn't it beautiful where we live??? For anyone that is contemplating a visit to the gorgeous Okanagan, this should be the selling point! A lovely path in an area called Wilden, just up the hill from our house.

Uncle has been in the neighborhood a few times, so we are lucky to get lots of visits in!
He finds a way to fit in the castle for a story...

 ... and some art!

I think it was easier for Grandpa to get IN to Simone's "Secret Corner" than it was to get OUT!

Simone keeps us laughing and in amazement with her advanced vocabulary!
-While spreading out a blanket on the floor: "I make it flat like a beaver's tail!"
-"Actually, it is not perfect." (in reference to a sock not fitting properly)
-"I'm quite hot!"
