More Firsts!

Jeff worked diligently to find the best deal on our new jogging stroller! Here is our little monkey all snuggled in for our FIRST walk in it! So excited to be able to walk along the Brandt's Creek Linear Path without shaking a baby!!!

Here are a few pictures of the path. Isn't it beautiful where we live?!?!?! :)

Finally, Jeff realizes his dream of washing HIS car in HIS driveway for the FIRST time!

Just Lounging

Just playing with my toys one morning, waiting for Daddy to wake up. This is my face each morning when I see him!

Mommy is helping me walk a lap around the kitchen - in our matching robes!
(Thanks again to Auntie Robyn for this adorable little piggy housecoat! We love the ears!)

We love lounging in the morning! Drinking coffee, watching Family Feud... life is really going to change in a few months when Mommy goes back to work!

Kimono Simono

A big "ARIGATO" to Warren and Chris, who brought this adorable kimono from Japan for our little monkey!

Our First Reno As Homeowners!

Here is the "before" shot of the powder room:

A HUGE "thank you" to our amazing team:
Tess: She worked tirelessly for over three hours, removing the old border piece by tiny piece! She also washed, prepped and painted the walls! Step one!

Kelly: Was very helpful during the demo stage, taking apart the sink and removing the old plumbing. (Also handy when it came to bringing home the baseboards for Sim1's room) Thanks Kel. Come back South soon!

Tony: Tony is a Tiger when it comes to all things construction. Taking time out from building his own home from the ground up, he swung by and I watched him knock out our mini tile job. Think of him everytime you stand at the sink.

Devon: Devon was instrumental in me figuring out I didn't need to do half the crap I was doing to get the vanity installed. Oh well, it's a learning process. Took a couple trips but Dev helped me get the cabinet and counter top in and then showed me how to deal with those scary black pipes down below.

Dan: A hearty thanks to the the old man who, after completing a few contstruction projects for family in Ontario, help put the finishing touches on our powder room. Wiring up the light fixture, stopping the tiny leak in the drain and kickin' butt on the wallpapering was the last push needed to get this one to bed. Another fine job by the Rough Carpenter!!!

Sheri "Accessorize it" Hannah! We have her to thank for all of the details - faucet, toilet paper holder, toilet seat, toilet brush, garbage can, towel ring, towel, soap dispenser, mirror and light fixture! Good thing Simone and Mommy love to go shopping!!!

Here is the "after" shot! So fun!!! (Come by and see it in person - it's even better in real life!)

So, Team... what's our next project??? :)

Swimming Like A Fish!

Even though I spent the summer in Mimi's pool, Mommy wanted to learn how to teach me to put my head under the water and some fun new songs to go along with it!

Here we are at my first lesson: Parent and Starfish! Right at the beginning of the lesson, the instructor was explaining how when Mommy moves backwards through the water with baby on her tummy, her legs should be up behind her "...just like Simone!" she said, in front of the whole class! Daddy says: "Teacher's pet! Teacher's pet!" Haha!

"London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down..."

Mmmm... chlorine!

Too bad the class is only half an hour long! I am having a blast! Good thing we have eleven more sessions! I'll be doing the front crawl by then!

Park Firsts!

My first time in the baby swing!

I was such a natural, I was ready for the lounging position already!

I got to spend this first with Marianne, who is anxiously awaiting her third baby (first girl!), Hannah, to arrive any day now!!! Can't wait to have another friend!!!

A couple of days later, we got to hang at the park with three out of the four Bryce Family members! Daddy took me on the big swing and I had a blast!

Whee!!!

This is old hat now! ;)

Avery, now in Grade 3, still fits in the baby swing! So cute!

Feeling kinda nervous about my first ride down a slide!

Daddy shows me how doing "jazz hands" really calms his nerves.

Whee!!!

Eight Months Old!

Can you believe eight months have passed??? Me neither! I have been very busy!!!

During the Block Party on Bernard, I needed a new hat, so we picked this one up from the Calona Costume Shop (the white sign in the background)! Very "Little House on the Prairie", don't you think? (Still loving the Baby Bjorn! Merci, Guils!!!)

I'm above certain highchairs... I prefer to sit right on the table on the Twisted Tomato patio! (Another lovely visit with Auntie Shilo!)

Just hanging out with my toys... looking coy!

After Auntie Tess painted one wall purple and two walls white in my room, Daddy did these magnificent stripes! What a tough job! It's almost time to move in and decorate!

Just practicing hanging out in my crib! I love my adorable purple bedding (thanks to Mimi and Auntie Shilo, who picked it out in Arizona!) and my adorable purple shirt (thanks to Auntie Robyn!)...

... and my purple hippo! (Don't worry - none of these stuffies stay in the crib while I'm sleeping in it!)
