The First Noel!

Christmas Eve at Sheri's has become a tradition. The first one for Simone on the outside. This is just before Stan had to head home to hide his hearing aids under the bed. :)

A tradition that has the jury is still out on: opening a gift on Chrismas Eve... Jeff didn't seem to mind!

Christmas morn Simone makes a beeline for her goodie-stuffed stocking.
(The same one Ash had for her first Christmas!)

After weeks of being asked not to touch what is under the tree,
Simone is cautious as to why it is encouraged now.

But the wait was worth it as her new buggy was delicious!

It will take her some time to figure out that she powers the buggy... not Daddy.

Jeff knew this lamp for Sheri was a good idea!

The last of my "no more surprises" surprise gifts for Ash was this shiny new purple cruiser bicycle. Thanks to Uncle Tess for the help storing the the secret.

Sim is sporting her new tuque from Auntie Shi.

After our first Christmas breakfast and present-opening in our new house, we headed over to Grandpa's for a big family dinner. That turkey must have kicked in... here is Mo chillaxing on me Aunty.

We are so grateful for all of the time we got to spend with loved ones and for all of the lovely gifts! What a wonderful first Christmas as parents! We can't wait until Simone can get excited for this holiday with us!

My First Present!

Over at Jenny's, we got all the kids together (Presley, Cooper, Bailey, Koby and Simone) for a gift exchange. Here she is opening her first present ever!

I get to wear this??? Lucky me!

A bilingual microphone???!!! This could be the start of my singing career!!!

Thanks to my dear friends for spoiling me!

My New Scowl!

Out for coffee with Tiffany, I am showing off my latest facial expression! What a change from my usual perma-smile! Mommy and Daddy are both wondering who she gets it from... ;)

My First Steps!!!

For over a month, Mo has been busy pulling herself up on every single piece of furniture, cupboard, person... her favourite is doing laps around the coffee table! Since November 26th, she has been fearlessly letting go of the table and moving her feet as she falls into our arms! That counts as a step, right?!

Tonight, she suprised us by making a trip across the living room! I ran to get the camera and we spent the next ten minutes trying to recreate the event. Unfortunately, just as she was about to make trip #2, the camera turned off! After ten more minutes, I was about to capture trip #3, but, when the camera turned off, it went back to picture mode! Not video mode! Argh!

Ten minutes, later, here is trip #4!

 We're in trouble now!!! :)

It's Raining Men!

Here I am with a couple of my favourite men!

Uncle Scott makes great silly faces!

I like to tickle Great Avi's knees - not his toes!

Grandpa and Kathy came over to babysit me while Mommy and Daddy went to the Glenmore Christmas Staff Party. I was on my best behaviour... when I was sleeping!

I went to visit Grandpa at his office - he always needs help cleaning off his desk!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

I was on my best behaviour for my first photo shoot with Santa!

With the Holiday Music Channel a'playing and the egg nog a'flowing (for Mommy and Daddy!),
I got to trim my first Christmas tree!

I even got to help Daddy put the star on the top!

Since Uncle Scott is spending Christmas in Ontario with Karen, he did a quick fly-by to visit us before his holiday. Fortunately, we now have room for six people to eat together! Here is our first meal around our new dining room table! (Happy 5th Wood Anniversary!) Brunch on Christmas morning will be so comfortable!

Less than two weeks to finish our shopping!
I guess we'll have to add placemats, napkins, a table runner and a centerpiece to our list!

Eleven Months Old!

Eleven months old and still smiling! I have had a rough go with this teething thing...
we know it's serious when it's disrupting my sleep! I have five official chompers - including my two front teeth - so I'll have to come up with something else for my Christmas list! (Maybe it will be an orthodontic fund to fix the huge gap that is between them!!!)

I have been trying to get on Santa's "Nice" List...
here I am, offering to help with the housework!

I've been staying healthy by doing regular laps around the kitchen.
I'm pretty good holding on to just one hand... it won't be long until I'll be doing it with no hands!

I might have to take my "GIRLS ROCK" act on the road!
Thank you again to Dympna for my new PINK guitar!

Check out another one of my amazing tricks!

Haven't quite figured out how to get down but stay tuned to the blog for when I do.
Thanks for visiting me. xo Mo

Play Dates

Here is Simone (held by Aunty Leigh!) with her new friend, Abby (and her Mommy, Melissa), out for lunch at The Minstrel (another new restaurant for our little pumpkin!).

The last time we saw Melissa, she was hugely pregnant!
I think Simone is happy to have her friend on the outside!

The following week, we hosted our very first play date with our new friends,
Vincent (MC's adorable 7-month old)...

...and Bekah (Emma's gorgeous 5-month old!). Aren't they so precious? What a team!

Even if you don't have a kid, let me know if you'd like to attend our next play date, simply to check out the cuteness factor!!!

Here is my latest trick!

Thank you again to the Bryce Family for my first tutu! Aren't I gorgeous?!?!

This is my lyrical pose...

Car, don't you want to sign me up at your studio right now?!?!

Daddy makes a good bar!

Pretty hand!

This month I perfected crawling and pulling myself up on every piece of furniture possible! Look out, world! Oh, and watch your coffee cup and that book and your laptop and the remote control and the phone... babyproofing is in full swing!

Our Little Pumpkin

Now a professional in the garage, Daddy takes his new skillsaw (umm, that's a drill, honey) to the pumpkin to get his detailed masterpiece!

This candy is for the kids that come to the door... I promise!

I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!

A human pumpkin, sitting beside a carved pumpkin, holding a mini candle pumpkin!

Simone is dressed up as a pumpkin and Mommy and Daddy are dressed up as parents!

Thank you again to Cousin Keri for the adorable hand-me-down kitty cat!

I found my matching shoes!

The Paper Bag Princess came to visit!
(Thanks again for the treats, Madame Longpré!)

Check out my tail!

Here's to next Halloween, when I can actually consume some of the candy!!!
