A Visit Chez The Bryce Family

Simone may be getting bigger, but so are Avery and Vaughn! The mini Bryces were excellent entertainers and feeders during an afternoon at their place!

Two days... two different restaurants!

Too bad Simone had to order off the menu both times! ;)

Big White - One Day Only!

Shi comes to town, gives me her skis and convinces Dad to drive us up to Big White! Unfortch Jeff had to work... fortch, Mimi got to babysit! It works out for everyone!

And what a day it was! The weather was glorious - after some careful costume choices, I was exactly the right temperature! (This is always a struggle - I want to dress warmly, but I forget how hard I work out there and end up peeling layers off right away!)

We figured that everyone must have gone home after Spring Break because there were no line-ups either! (Just enough people to have someone take this photo of us!)

Everything was going so well until Shi's friend, Debbie, joined us (she is in the pink jacket in the background below). As a season's pass holder and a condo owner, she knows the mountain quite well... her idea of a good time? Crossing the cliff!!!!

I made Shi take this picture because I couldn't look up or down! I followed Deb's pink jacket all the way across! This was not Dad's favourite run of the day either!

Petrified on the Cliff Chair... I stared at my skis the whole time! It was so steep and close to the chair, there is even a sign reminding you to keep your tips up! Yikes! I was white-knuckling my poles so bad - I don't know how Shi could take off her gloves, turn around and take this picture!!!

It didn't take long, but I did get over the shock of being on the cliff for the first time after 30 years of skiing! We decided not to risk trying to top this amazing day, so Ski Season 2011-2012 started and ended on March 23! So sorry that Jeff's season was non-existent this year!

Here's to next year! Simone will be ready, right??? (We know Mimi will be ready to babysit!)

I Love My Cousins!

During a visit from Vancouver, Jack (6) is all smiles as he holds his second cousin!

Jack's little sis, Cate (almost 4), gets a turn with a little help from her Mommy, Cousin Keri.

Bella (almost 11) stopped doing cartwheels long enough to be a comfy lap for Simone to sit on while Jack is in charge of the bottle!

Two Months Old!

When you turn two months old, you have a birthday party, right? Well, we did!

Cousin Lani finally gets to hold our little pumpkin! (After her daughter, Jaz, agreed to give her up!)

 Big Daddy Mike helps Bella the Beauty hold Simone's head. (Just like he did for Bella when she was this petite!)

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us. Bella asked if we plan to do this every month... how about we meet again at the 6-month mark??

Two days after this party, we took Simone for her two-month immunizations. Believe it or not, no one fainted! One of us did cry (baby) and one of us did throw up (mommy - not because of nerves, I promise!). Simone was amazing - no fever, no swollen legs and no change in sleeping patterns (aka, right through the night like she has since she was 7 weeks old!). Have I mentioned how lucky we are???
