Talk about a spoiled Mommy! This morning, all the Mommies got treated to brunch at Cousin Lani's house (cooked by the men!), followed by a restful afternoon at home and topped off with take-out from Brandt's Creek! Delish!
The extra spoilage came in the form of a "Mother's Day Journal", created by Daddy. This is a new fad (although, apparently Mimi tried to push this idea YEARS ago, before Pinterest!) in which Mother's Day sentiments are expressed in one book and the children add to it each year. Parents complete journal entries each year until the kids are able to contribute on their own. You don't have to buy a card each year or worry about where to keep a stack of cards after the fact. It is also a beautiful way to watch the littles grow!

Ollie was fairly easy to work with as Jeff painted his feet into a butterfly.
Simone's handprint became beautiful flower fingertips.
I feel so lucky to have such an amazing husband who spoils me and takes such good care of our babies.
I can't wait to see how my Journal will evolve!
