20 Months Old!

Lots of new things happening this month! I had a great summer learning more words and keeping Mom and Dad busy. I know I'm not quite two years old yet, but I am very advanced and showing them how I can be into the "Terrific Twos" already!

For this reason, time-outs have had to be introduced! I've had only a couple, but I'm sure there will be more on the way as I show off my new words, such as "STOP!", "STAY THERE!", "WAIT!". Not to mention, when Daddy pushes me on the swings, I point to the bench on the side and tell Mama to "SIT DOWN!".

I have recently been introduced to honey dew melon and "I LOVE IT!". I spend a lot of time saying "honey dew!" and eating it up! One day Daddy was teasing Mama and she said "Honey, don't!", so I spent the next few days repeating it, totally out of the blue (and out of context!).

I am getting better at talking on the phone ("CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!"). Well... saying "hi" and walking around holding the phone up to my ear! I have also managed to call Mimi a few times without Mom and Dad knowing!

I am an excellent shopper! I am quite comfy in shopping carts, as long as I have my snacks!

I LOVE animals! I can name tons of them, along with the sounds they make! Here I am at The Dorchester, checking out all the "quacks"!

Enjoying an ice cream treat after a visit to the Kangaroo Farm!

I have also had a bit of practice being a big sis, hanging out with Baby Jessie!

I was not interested in the pool at all this summer, until the last weekend of August, when I decided I wanted to chase my shoe that was floating away from the stairs... With three practices under my water wings, I have mastered swimming all by myself! (Unfortunately, the swimming lessons are all booked up for the fall, so we will have to find out when the open swim times are so she doesn't lose the interest!)

I made it all the way down to the deep end and climbed out the ladder all by myself!

I spent a lot of time at playgrounds this summer and recently discovered the "swing hug" with Daddy!

His lap is so much cozier than the swing seat!

In other news, today was my first day back at daycare and I was so excited to see Auntie Mick and all of my friends! Mom has been back to work for a few days and is feeling the exhaustion already!
