Andrew & Preston's RV Adventure

Every law school student's dream is to buy an RV and drive it across the country, right? Well, for Preston and Lauren, this was true! They wrote the bar exam, flew from Toronto to Vancouver, bought a 1974 hunk-a-beauty (had new brakes installed - thank goodness!) and drove it around the island, eventually making their way to Kelowna! Andrew skipped that part, and, once he had finished his school work, flew directly here. What an adventure!

We took them out to "The Jammery" (http://www.jammery.com/), a lovely local spot where, yes, you can purchase jam! It was a busy Sunday morning, so we had to wait OVER AN HOUR to be seated! (Unheard of for us small town folk, but totally normal for the Torontonians!) It was worth the wait (so they said!) and, of course, only Sweet Simone was documented at this establishment!

Andrew and Preston have friends in Naramata, so they drove down to meet up with them, while we drove down to Penticton to meet up with Carmen, who happened to visiting the area for work! What are the chances??? (It was so nice to see you, Carmen, and thank you again for spoiling our monkey with the amazing gifts! We hope you enjoyed your quick western experience!)

Here we are soaking up the rays on the beach in Penticton.

Jeff also brought his new camera to test out his favorite subject matter!

What a poser! Canada's Next Top Model, here we come!
(That's better than Toddlers and Tiaras, right???)

Simone was eyeing up this adorable little beach chair that a very kind family had set up at their camp. As they were leaving, they brought it over to us, saying they wanted Simone to have it! So nice!

We met Carmen for dinner at Salty's (the restaurant in Penticton!) and the photographer found it easier to capture a strapped-in model! She cooperated with a few funny (and adorable!) faces!

Did I mention that I use a spoon all by myself now?

Oversize anything looks super adorable on a little person! Especially Preston's Lady Gaga shades!!!

It turns out that purchasing, insuring and gassing the beast all adds up, so Andrew and Preston needed to sell it before purchasing their tickets home! After spending a week back and forth between Naramata and Penticton, they finally gave up and decided to come back to Kelowna to follow up on a few leads. They finally heard from Nancy and Jerry and it was their dog, Lady, that really sold Preston on the sale! (Well, that, and the fact that they drove two hours to see the thing and offered $500 more than Preston had paid for it... in cash!) Done and done! Home in time for sister Krista's bachelorette party!

We are so happy to make this reunion an annual event! We can't wait for you to buy your summer home here and invite the rest of the gang and your families and anyone else who has not enjoyed the glorious Okanagan summer!
